RIP Jimmy Cliff
So very sad to hear that the music icon and original reggae superstar, Jimmy Cliff has died aged 81. He finally crossed over the last river.

Jimmy Cliff, the Jamaican reggae singer known for songs including “You Can Get It If You Really Want” and “The Harder They Come,” has died. He was 81.
Cliff’s wife, Latifa Chambers, announced his death in a post on his official Instagram page early Monday. The cause was pneumonia, she wrote. “Jimmy, my darling, may you rest in peace,” she said in the post.
He won two Grammy Awards. He won best reggae recording in 1986 for “Cliff Hanger,” and best reggae album in 2013 for “Rebirth.”
In 1972, Cliff starred in the movie “The Harder They Come,” about a struggling Jamaican musician who turns to crime. The movie helped bring reggae music to a wider audience.
